Here's our simple care guide.

1. Give Your Bottle a Regular Clean

Your Resparkle bottle gets handled a lot, so it's completely normal for it to need a little refresh from time to time.

For everyday marks, simply spot-clean the outside with a little soap and a Bamboo Microfibre Cloth.

For a more thorough clean, wash the bottle before making your next refill.

We recommend giving your reusable bottle a good clean approximately every two months, or whenever it needs it.

Using the dishwasher?

According to our existing bottle-care instructions, Resparkle bottles can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Before putting yours in:

• Empty any remaining cleaning solution or hand wash.
• Rinse the bottle.
• Select a cold-water wash.

This gives the inside and outside a good refresh before you refill again.

 

2. Rinse Your Pump or Spray Before Every Refill

This little habit can make a big difference.

Over time, product residue can build up inside pumps and spray mechanisms. If enough accumulates, you may notice your pump becoming harder to press or your spray not working as smoothly.

The fix is simple:

Pump clean, warm water through the mechanism until the water runs clear.

That's it.

We recommend doing this before every refill.

Think of it as a 30-second reset before your bottle starts its next round.

3. Foaming Hand Wash Pump Sticking?

If your Foaming Hand Wash pump starts sticking or becomes difficult to press, don't give up on it just yet.

A build-up of product inside the mechanism may be causing the problem.

Start by giving the pump a thorough rinse with warm water, pumping the clean water through several times.

And remember: a pump playing up doesn't necessarily mean the whole bottle needs replacing.

Fix the part, keep the bottle.

4. Spray Bottle Leaking? Try This First

You've kept your bottle upright...

...and somehow there's still liquid coming through the nozzle.

Before assuming your spray is broken, try this.

When a powdered refill dissolves in water, gas can sometimes become trapped inside the bottle. The pressure can push liquid through the spray nozzle and make it look like it's leaking.

The simple fix:

Remove the spray top and leave the bottle uncapped overnight.

This allows the trapped gas to escape.

Then put your spray back on and try it again.

One little fix could save a perfectly good spray bottle from the bin.

5. Store Your Refill Sachets Somewhere Dry

Our refill packaging is designed differently from conventional plastic packaging, so how you store unopened sachets matters.

Moisture is the big one to avoid.

Keep unused refill sachets:

✓ In an airtight container or sealed bag
✓ Somewhere cool and dry
✓ Away from direct sunlight
✓ Away from areas that regularly become humid or wet

That means the bathroom, damp laundry areas and underneath a kitchen sink may not always be the best storage spots.

Why?

If moisture reaches the powder, it can become clumpy.

If you notice some clumping, don't panic. According to our existing care guidance, this shouldn't necessarily affect how the product performs.

But prevention is easier: keep your refills dry until you're ready to use them.

Sometimes you've cleaned it, rinsed it, tried the troubleshooting tips...

…and it's simply reached the end of its life.

That doesn't mean you need to replace the entire bottle.

If yours genuinely can't be reused, check the recycling options available in your local area before disposing of it.

Specialist recycling programs may accept difficult-to-recycle household items, including some pumps and spray mechanisms.

We'll always encourage reuse first, recycling second and landfill as the last option.
